Cloudy Night

Playing with the settings on my little camera.  The photos look much better larger.  This is a shot of the moon peeking through the cloud cover and then a zoom of the same thing.  It reminds me of being in the bottom of a container of cotton balls looking up to the top of the opening.

Four Seasons Of A Tree

Not A Cloud in The Sky - Winter

Not A Cloud in The Sky - Spring

Not A Cloud in The Sky - Summer

Not A Cloud in The Sky - Autumn

This was a photo study series I did to document the tree in my back yard.  To get the shot with no clouds required me to keep a watchful eye out.  I thought I would never get the autumn shot, because we have had nothing but rain, storms and cloudy skies for the past month.  The first shot was in the winter and of course, I chose a branch that was dead.  Who could tell in the winter?  So I just shot the other side of the tree when the buds came out in the spring, and continued to use that same branch.

Study In Light (or Dark)

Playing with the settings on the camera can create some interesting effects.  These two pictures were taken about 10 seconds apart.  The first one was set on the regular setting, and then I changed it to "fast action" and snapped it again.  The second one was how the sky actually looked this afternoon about 4 pm.  This is the end of Hurricane Ida getting ready to come over the coastal NC area.  It has a beauty all its own.

Sleepy Kitty

It's difficult trying to wash the blankets from the bed when the cat thinks she needs to take a nap on it first. This is my Snowball. She is 15 years old.
